Picture Time!

Where does the time go? I think it’s true that the older you get the fast time goes by. When I’m 105 I will probably blinking days by.

Friday night Randy B came into town and we met up with the boys (Blayne, Eric, Reno, Joseph, Taylor, Mike, and Robert) and Xoch at El Mercado on 17th and Guadalupe for dinner and drinks. We were all cracking up because there was a big frat thing going on there and it was full of crazily dressed frat boys that we assumed were rushing.

After dinner Xoch and I went to Rusty Spurs. The boys went to Charlie’s for a bit, and then met up with us at the Spurs. I had a great time dancing with Xochi and all the regular Rusty Spurs boys. I also met some new people who are pretty fun.

I ended up at Rain because that’s where Randy and the boys had gone, and since Randy was staying with me, I had to give him a ride back to my place. I ran into Thiago (of course) and Jorge at Rain as well. I had fun dancing there, but really got annoyed at people touching my hat and grabbing on me.

Saturday Randy and I went to brunch and I really can’t remember what we did all day. He was staying with me the entire weekend, so I know that I was trying to entertain him. Oh, we did have to stop and get my truck checked out by an insurance agent, because of the hail damage. They aren’t going to cover my windshield because it was a rock that started the original crack. Damn the luck!

Saturday night we got ready to go out and Randy asked me to take pics.

We met up with his friends for dinner at the Baby A’s on IH-35, which was SUPER trashy. There was a clipped fingernail on the table where I sat. How nasty is that? Who clips their nails in a restaurant? The table cloths were made out of the same fake leather type material as school bus seats. It even had the weird white backing on them. I don’t understand why that location is a million times tackier and trashier than all the rest.

At dinner we were talking about going to the Spur again. Randy’s two straight female friends got excited at the idea of going two-stepping and one of them asked if I would dance with her. I asked her if she could actually dance and she said yes. I told her that girls always say they can dance, but most of them lie. She swore that she had skills. I went on to tell her how annoying it is when girls ask me to dance and swear they can dance, but can’t.

I was telling her that I would rather they be honest and admit that they can’t dance so I can pick a slow song. I don’t want to get out there to dance to a good song that I like and find out that the girl is a liar. She continued to maintain that she could dance.

Shannon and Tomas met up with us at the Spur, but they didn’t stay very long. Still, it was nice seeing them, because I hadn’t seen Shannon in FOREVER.

Rolando was there taking pictures again, and like always, I was happy to pose. ? You know me, if there’s a camera pointed anywhere near me, I’ll pose. He took a picture of Randy R and me together. Awwww…..

I had a great time at the Spur and I was in the best mood! I was having a ton of fun dancing with everyone. Randy’s friends from dinner showed up. The one straight girl that swore she could dance was there and we went to dance. Five steps in I realized she was lying. She couldn’t dance! I called her out on it and she said, “I’m just rusty. I need to warm up.” LIES! A few steps later she slipped, or tripped over her heels, and fell. That was either Karma paying her back for lying, or for wearing Brighton jewelry… probably a little bit of both.

I was having a ton of fun and being very outgoing and social. I was also shamelessly flirting with someone all night. We’ll call him B. I couldn’t stop myself. I was even flirting with him while we were both dancing with other boys.

I left the Spur around 1am and went to Rain to meet up with the boys (Eric, Taylor, Stas, Reno and Randy). I asked B and CJ to go to Rain as well and hoped that they would show up. I totally don’t remember taking this picture inside Rain (it may have been Oil Can’s?) but it was on my camera!

CJ and B did show up shortly after me! We hit the dance floor when they got in and stayed there. It was SO SO SO SO SO much fun! Unfortunately, when all of my friends starting leaving Randy stood on the side of the dance floor where I was, looking bored, so I had to go. I had thought the other boys had already left, but they were all outside, so we took some more pictures.

Sunday Randy and I went to breakfast early, and then he took off. I relaxed around the house. My body was aching from so much dancing. Later on in the evening I made plans to hang out with B. He came over and we watched a movie, talked, went to dinner, and then back to my place to hang out some more. Good times. ;)

Monday night I had to do my checkbook, clean up a bit, and do invoices and checks for the cleaning company. It was all boring stuff.

Last night I met up with B again for dinner. We went to Doc’s on Congress to eat and have a few drinks, and then went for a walk up Congress, looking in the shops that unfortunately just closed. We sat down for a while and chatted and then I went home around 9ish. It was great night and you don’t need any more details than that.
