NYE
Woot Woot it’s 2009! Yays!
I worked yesterday and my bosses were going to let me go home at 3, but I got stuck at work until 5:03 because I had to wait on a construction crew to finish at one of our houses so I could lock up. Pity.
I went home and relaxed for a bit then got ready for Eric and Taylor’s party. I wasn’t 100% thrilled with what I was wearing, but I went with it anyway.
Had a great time at the party. I was worried that I wouldn’t have anyone fun to talk to, but I ended up talking to a lot of people and having a great time… probably too good of a time. There were lots of pictures taken, but I won’t be sharing all of those because they are a little scandalous. Here are a few of my favs, and the rest are here: http://www.tomithey.com/gallery/20081231
Today I went to have brunch with Matthew, Paul, Dustin, Christie and her boyfriend. Went to Magnolia cafe, which I’m not really a fan of, and had to wait outside for like 30 minutes for our table… that is part of the reason I’m not a fan of the place. I like going out to eat because it’s like a treat and you go some place to hopefully have food better than you could have at home. When I eat at places that are kind of run down and dirty looking, or actually dirty, it makes me think the kitchen is gross too. Why would I want to go out and pay to eat somewhere that looks gross? That’s not a treat!
I had a good time though, and my food was pretty good. Had fun hearing stories about people that I went to High School with from Christie, even though I don’t remember most of the people. I found out that two girls that I see out all the time, and know of them through a mutual friend, actually graduated with me. We were in some of the same classes. Christi saw them last night and was telling them that she saw me out last weekend. They knew my name and remembered me from HS, but apparently don’t know what I look like now. So I guess all this time we’ve been seeing each other out, none of us knew we had gone to school together. I don’t even remember them from school, and I find it odd they remember me.
After lunch I came home and napped for two hours. I’m exhausted! Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow (10 – 2), so I will need to go to bed soon. I’ve think I’ve run out of things to say now.
