OUT AGAIN
Friday night I got all caught up on my TiVo shows. I don’t know how I’ve lived without TiVo for so long. Obviously it was a pretty lame night for me, just watching TV and being a bum. I even went to bed super early.
Saturday I got up late and went to meet Javi and Shannon, to help Shannon find a place to live. He’s renting a really nice apartment downtown. I’m super jealous! He can watch concerts at Stubs from his balcony, walk to the Rusty Spur and many other bars.
I’m really thinking of moving downtown when my lease is up. The rent would be a lot more, but I would save SO MUCH MONEY on gas that I think it would be pretty close to evening out. It would also be so convenient to work and my night life.
Saturday evening I was lazing around the apartment trying to decide if I wanted to go out. Matt really wanted me to go out, and Robert had asked as well. So I decided I had been locked up in the apartment long enough and needed to go out. I always feel better after going out because all that dancing releases so much stress.
I picked out a shirt to wear and was AMAZED that I fit into it. Well, I use the word “fit” loosely and the shirt was anything but loose on me. I had to cut the sleeves off to make it fit. I was really self-conscious about the shirt because it was so small. It’s actually a child’s shirt, a “JR” size.
I didn’t have any jeans that I thought would look right with the shirt, so I went to the mall to get some new ones. I needed new jeans anyway. After trying on several pairs in several different stores, I found a pair at Express. They were having a buy one get one free sale, and I joined the Club Express so I got $20 off as well! I basically got one pair of jeans for $8!
When I got home I put the shirt on with the jeans and couldn’t decide if I should go with it or no. I was wishing Matt was at my apartment to help me decide. He suggested I email him a picture, so I did.
In the end I probably looked like a jackass, but I didn’t care. I enjoyed myself. I had the best time and I really needed it. I had fun dancing with Matt, Dustin, David, and Jeffrey. I actually spent a lot of time with Jeffrey. He and I were laughing so hard all night long. I haven’t laughed that much in a long long time.
Jerry sent me some pics that he took at Rusty Spur. This one of me cracks me up. Is that what I normally look like when I’m out, all unfriendly? That would explain why boys don’t talk to me!
Today I’ve been watching movies and TV. I watched “Elizabeth” and “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” one after the other. I’ve been meaning to watch those movies for a long time and now that I’ve gone through all the best things in my Netflix queue I’m getting to down to the stuff that I’ve been meaning to see for a long time but wasn’t at the top of my list.
I also did some grocery shopping today so now I have food. YAYS!
