Hochheim
SO this past weekend was the fourth of July. Duh. My friend Jennifer came to visit me… and by came I mean made me meet her halfway to pick her up in a tiny nothing nobody town in nowhereville. So tiny that THIS was the Post Office that we met at:
And this was (emphasis on WAS) the General Store in that same town… that actually shared a parking lot (if you could call it that) with the Post Office.
After I picked her up we had to do a little work. I had to stop by some properties to check things out and check out the job my sister did cleaning. When we finally got to my place we were exhausted. Both of us had gone to bed late the night before and had gotten up early this day, so we needed a nap. MMMM HMMM that was a good nap too!
Friday night we had some beers, I made Fettucini Alfredo (as requested by Jen) and we watched a bunch of episodes of The New Adventures of Old Christine. I LOVE that show so much. I could watch those episodes over and over and over and they never stop being funny.
Saturday we did some shopping and basically running around wasting time. We had to check out some more properties as well. Then we went and looked at rich people houses in Lakeway. That was SO much fun. There were some open houses going on, so we got to see some AMAZING homes.
There was one home that was $3 Million and 8100 square feet. WOW. It was the most amazing home I have even seen in person, in magazine, or on TV. I don’t even think it’s possible that I will ever see anything as amazing as this home. Jen and I were in AWE. We were going from room to room with our mouths wide open going “OMG” over and over, like an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition!
Saturday night we went out to Rainbow. I had the best time… don’t know if Jennifer did because she doesn’t dance, but she looked like she had some fun. I didn’t dance nearly as much as usual because I was trying to spend time with her.
I had bought that shirt earlier in the day. I saw it months ago at store and was praying that it would still be there… and just my luck, it was the last one and on SALE! YAYS!
After leaving the club we went to eat at Kerby Lane. I was so exhausted that I couldn’t even enjoy my food.
Sunday we got up early and I had to drive her back to Hochheim to meet up with her husband. It’s about 2 hours from my place to Hochheim and then another 2 hours to her place from there. That’s a long day of driving.
The rest of the day I spent in the apartment doing laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning up. BORING, but it was kind of relaxing.
This week I don’t have much going on, but I’m super tired. I wish I could go to bed at like 9PM every night… but that’s not going to happen.
