It's HOT
This past week flew by. I was pretty busy with work and with personal things. I can’t even remember what I did this weekend… or can I? Friday night I went with Paco and his mother to help her buy some new reading/driving glasses. That was interesting. I had to play translator, which is never really all that easy, but this was even harder. There’s a lot of words that come up when doing eye tests and buying glasses that never come in in normal every day conversation. Somehow I managed and I think everything worked out ok.
Saturday I got up super early because Paco made a ton of noise as he was getting ready for work. I just decided to make the best of it and get all my errands done early. I’m switching from Wells Fargo to Compass because I’ve decided I hate WF. I’ve been with them for 15 years and they charge me for everything. They don’t give me anything for free. Compass is offering totally free banking with free checks and all other kinds of free upgrades. Bye bye WellsFargo.
It’s a pain to change banks though. Especially when you have all of your bills taken out of your bank account through EFT or charged to your VISA check card. I had to call so many different companies and change my info. Then there’s the companies that tell you it’s going to take two billing cycles to change. Ugh. So you have to leave money in both accounts for a while until everything clears. I just know that one of my accounts didn’t get changed and something is going to bounce. Pity
So Saturday I was at Compass opening a business checking and a savings account. Then I had to go to Wells Fargo and withdraw money and then back to Compass to deposit. I haven’t closed out the WF account yet because I’m waiting on things to clear.
I did a few other little errands and was done by 11am. Then it was time for boredom. I didn’t expect to get everything completed so quickly. Somehow I found things to keep me entertained (Target). Saturday night I hung out with Paco.
Paco, his mother and I went to my boss’ picnic on Sunday. It was so freaking hot. He had a special guest at the picnic, Marsha Ball. She’s a pretty big local singer. People were freaking out excited about her. It was kind of funny. I didn’t really get it. She was ok, but not my type of music. I still had a good time. Sunday night I didn’t do anything because I was still recuperating from being drained of life by the sun and the heat.
I love my new phone. I’m obsessed with it still and I can’t bare to be without it for even a few minutes. It has done wonders for organizing my life, which I was desperately needing.
Last night I went to go show some rental properties, which is always fun. Ok well, time to get to work!
