I didn't need to see that
Last night was game night and we went to see Knocked Up. I expected this to be a sweet funny chick-flick kind of movie, but it wasn’t. I was so not expecting so much foul language, raunchy jokes, and drugs.
It was really funny though… REALLY FUNNY. Paul Rudd looks exceptionally cute in it too. How is it that he doesn’t look like he has aged a bit since Clueless?
The only two things I didn’t like about the movie were:
1. Seeing someone vomit in graphic detail.
2. Seeing a baby birthed in GRAPHIC detail, more than once, and not brief!
The movie was a little predictable. It reminded me of a movie I’ve seen once before that I think was almost the exact same plot. The plot was pretty generic: odd couple has one night stand, they start dating, big fight, break up for a while because one doesn’t think the other is worthy, the unworthy one redeems himself, they get back together and live happily ever after.
It’s almost as generic as the plot of “guy goes out with girl for a bet (dare/trick/joke) and then falls in love with the girl, but she finds out about the bet before he can tell her and dumps him, then he redeems himself and they get back together and live happily ever after.”
However the other parts of the movie are so good that you forget about the lame plot.
I am still super congested. I swear these allergies will never go away… at least I’m not miserable anymore.
