B-I-N-G-O
I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to update my journal or do anything fun on the internet. Thankfully I have a nice vacation this weekend and I will get to relax and have fun.
This past Monday night I hung out with Francisco. We went to dinner at the County Line and then went shopping, well not really shopping. We went to Barton Creek and Highland Mall so he could return some stuff. I realized something interesting about Barton Creek Mall. The store around Nordstrom are almost all exclusively for women. There is a J.Crew, which normally sells men’s and women’s clothes, in that area and they are only selling women’s clothes. I personally don’t like J.Crew, but Francisco does, and we went in there to return something he had bought at Highland, then realized they didn’t have men’s clothes.
Women have so much more selection when it comes to clothes and shoes. It’s really not fair. Women get away with a lot more, when it comes to clothes, in the workplace as well. They can get away with wearing skorts (yes someone actually has one on today), shorts, skirts, sandals, t-shirts, and stuff the would never even come close to appropriate for men to wear.
Anyways….
So last night was game night. Eric, Javi, Michelle, and I went to have dinner at Enchiladas y Mas. Eric loves the place because of the margaritas. I’m not that big of a fan. Their enchiladas are ok, but last night mine were kind of gross. They tortillas were tough and chewy, and that grosses me out. Afterward, we went to play Bingo. It was Eric’s night to pick the activity and that’s what he wanted to do. Thank GOD they have a smoke free room, although you had to walk through the smoking section to get to it, and you have to stand in line in the smoking section to buy your sheets and stuff. OMG, I thought I was going to die. I don’t think they have ANY ventilation in there. My eyes were burning, I was choking on the air, and it was just disgusting. How do people live like that?
It was kind of fun, but Eric was behaving very oddly all night. Even at dinner he was kind of weird. It’s hard to explain, he was acting funny and overly chatty. He said he had taken a Vivarin before dinner. I think that, combined with the alcohol, made him goofy. It was funny during dinner, and Michelle and I couldn’t stop giggling at him. It was still funny during Bingo, but I think the ladies next to us were getting annoyed. The one next to me kept touching me and telling me things, like we were best friends or something. “If you REALLY want to win, you have to be quiet and concentrate. You have to concentrate REALLY hard.” “You have to put the lids to your dobbers facing up if you want to win.” Ok………
People are some serious crazy about their Bingo. Why do you need 20 dobbers for Bingo? Is it really necessary to have a giant purse full of Bingo accessories?
Anyway, I have a meeting to attend in a few minutes, so I must get to work.
