I called in sick today.

I woke up late today and felt horrible, so I called in sick. I’ve been wanting to do it all week, but I’ve had too much to do, or Dan was going to be out. Today was just the right time because I was so exhausted and sick.

Last night I came home and took a 45 minute nap, then went to meet Gina and Emily at North by Northwest for a happy hour. I hadn’t met Emily before, and she was really nice. We had a few drinks and an appetizer and hung out on the patio.

I had to leave early to go to Lynn’s house for dinner. She was making friend chicken, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. You know I skipped on the green beans, but everything else was good.

We watched Along Came Polly, which was very good, but not as funny as I had expected it to be. Ben Stiller is another one of those comedians that really only has the one character.

I think a lot of actors really just play themselves, but most of them don’t have overbearing personalities, so they are easier to take. Jim Carrey works my last nerve, and so does Robin Williams. I can’t watch movies with them in it.

After getting home from there, I checked my e-mail and went to bed. I slept until about 1pm today. I was SO tired! Now I’m just going to lounge around the apartment and try to relax.
