I Got Served… a crappy movie.

May 25, 2004

Ok, so today…

Lunch was fun. I ran errands and then went home to eat some lunch. I watched a little Jerry Springer and it was pretty funny. Not as funny as last week when I got to see someone get their wig snatched. That’s my all time favorite thing to see.

You don’t know how many lunches I’ve sat yelling at the TV, “Snatch her wig! Snatch her wig!” It rarely ever happens. I think people finally got smart enough to quit wearing the fake hair on the Springer.

Anyways… then I watched some MTV and I got to see some Hoobastank video. I would have changed the channel but the guy in the video was hot. He actually is the guitarist from the band. I don’t know if he plays bass or whatever (what’s the other one?), but he’s cute. So I had to watch the entire video and it was cool.

The rest of the work day was ok, but nothing too special. I came home and Xoch came right over. We went walking and jogging for like an hour. I was so proud of how long I lasted with the jogging, especially in this heat.

Then we went to the gym, where I showed her my massive skills pumping the iron. I have to keep it up regular like, or my tiny muscles will fade away.

So we walked back to my apartment and I made our favorite dinner, Teriyaki chicken, rice, and beans. I know, it’s a weird combo, but we like it. We ate our food and watched You Got Served.

That movie was dreadfully horrible. I don’t think we’ve ever screamed at a movie for sheer terror from bad acting. We were cringing on the couch and I was stabbing myself in the damn neck.

But the dancing in the movie was phenomenal. It’s totally worth it to see the dancing, but please… fast forward through everything else or you will regret it.

Before the movie started I told Xoch that we’d probably learn some new slang. We were thoroughly excited about that. We wore the hell out of the slang from Save The Last Dance. Like, “Oh no, she’s all up in your nut.” and “Don’t make me bust a cap in yo ass.”

A third of the way into the movie Xoch said, “When was this movie made! I can understand everything they are saying!” I replied, “My grandma could understand this!”

I did like the part when Pocahontas (that’s what I called David) asked Beautifull (no for real, that was her name in the movie – with two l’s) is she needed a ride and she said, “No thanx, I push my own wheels.” I may have to use that one.

What to do now? It’s nice having a Tuesday to myself and not having to go bowling, but by June 8th, I’ll be ready to go back. I’m so excited about the summer league. Bowling with my sister and Kristi will be awesome. Hopefully they will be four man teams and Eric can join us as well.

Anyways…. I’m done.
